In the wake of the catastrophic Texas floods, you might be looking for ways to give and wondering what are some reputable places to donate to for Texas flood victims. Being a Texan myself, this tragedy hits very close to home, and rounding up these ways to give back is one way I can help.
Although Kerrville has been one of the hardest hit areas, it is important to remember that other communities have been hit hard as well and are also in need of help. I have included information for Austin and San Angelo areas in addition to Kerr County.

Monetary donations for Texas Flood Victims
At this time, monetary donations are what is most needed and what will go the furthest in helping individuals on the ground. In particular, Kerrville officials have recently stated that they are at capacity for in-kind donations until they develop a better system for sorting and storing physical donations. DO NOT SEND ITEMS until they are requested. It puts more labor on people who need to be focusing on other things. I hope this list of reputable places to donate to Texas flood victims is a good starting place for those looking to help!
Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. This is the main foundation that locals are directing people to for donations. The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has the infrastructure in place to direct funds to vetted organizations to provide assistance where they it is most needed on the ground.
World Central Kitchen. World Central Kitchen is always on the front lines providing fresh quality meals to those in need. WCK is in central Texas right now supporting the community with much needed nourishment.
GoFundMe Verified Fundraisers. This page will be updated with verified fundraisers for those who have been directly impacted by the flooding.
Kerrville Pets Alive!. Kerrville Pets Alive is providing support for displaced pets affected by the flooding in the Kerr County area. The most direct way to donate is through Venmo but there are several different donation options on their website.
Austin Pets Alive!. Austin Pets Alive is providing support for displaced pets affected by the flooding in the greater Austin area. Monetary donations are what is most needed right now to take care of the animals.
Concho Valley PAWS. Concho Valley PAWS is providing boarding assistance to displaced pets in the San Angelo area. The shelter is also supplying crates and leashes for those needing assistance.
Hill Country SPCA. They are receiving displaced animals, and monetary donations go a long way!
Salvation Army Kerrville. The Salvation Army in Kerrville is one of the main organizations providing immediate assistance to victims. Any donations can help their efforts.
Texas Firewalkers. The Texas Firewalkers help provide support on the ground for displaced families and first responder incidents. This fundraiser also helps support first responders with hot meals and other needs. You can also donate in the following ways: Venmo – @texasfirewalkers101; Cash App – $texasfirewalkers; Text TFWCares to 44321 from any mobile device.
TEXSAR. Texas Search and Rescue deploys necessary teams, boats, drones, and other resources to assist in search, rescue, and recovery. This will be a continuing, long-term response as it will take quite a while to go through all of the debris fields.
San Angelo Area Foundation. There has been widespread flooding in the San Angelo area. The San Angelo Disaster Relief Fund has been established to provide support to victims and connect with organizations on the ground in San Angelo and surrounding areas.
Kerrville Area Rebuilding and Recovery Fund. The Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce established this fund to help local businesses in the aftermath of the Texas floods. It will assist with utility bills, repairs, and other damage.
San Antonio Food Bank. The food bank is partnering with local emergency officials to bring water, food, hygiene kits, and ongoing support to affected areas.
Operation BBQ Relief. This nonprofit feeds families and first responders delicious BBQ after disasters. Free meals are being provided daily in Kerrville.
Volunteer to Help Texas Flood Victims
Kerr Together Volunteer Application. When Phase 2 of disaster management begins, they will use this information to coordinate public volunteers to assist with relief, recovery, and rebuilding.
Salvation Army Kerrville. This has been the official point of contact for volunteering. Sign up online or call 830-465-4797.
JustServe Central Texas Flood Relief. Connect with trusted organizations responding to the devastating storms that impacted Central Texas. From donation drives to cleanup projects, there are lots of ways support ongoing relief efforts.
San Angelo Flood Volunteer Interest Form. According to the City of San Angelo, volunteer opportunities will include sorting donated goods, cleanup crews, and additional needs. United Way of the Concho Valley will reach out to those who complete the form when those arrangements have been made.
San Antonio Food Bank. Find volunteer opportunities in the San Antonio and San Angelo areas.
Operation BBQ Relief. Sign up to help serve hot meals to those in need by assisting with food prep, cooking, processing, serving, inventory, and more.
Amazon Wish Lists for Organizations Helping Texas Flood Victims
San Antonio Behavioral Health Back-to-School Donation Drive for Kerrville. SABH is requesting items to fill 300 backpacks for families affected by the Kerrville tragedy. The wish list includes school supplies as well as a few necessities and comfort items that will help make the back-to-school transition a little easier.
Texas Firewalkers Disaster Deployment Wish List. These supplies are much needed to help keep operations running smoothly.
Kerrville Pets Alive! Wish List. These items help support the work they are doing to save the lives of homeless and displaced pets.
Austin Pets Alive! Wish List. The most urgent needs to care for animals is found on this wish list.
Concho Valley PAWS Wish List. Concho Valley PAWS is providing boarding assistance to displaced pets in the San Angelo area.
Hill Country SPCA Wish List. They are receiving displaced animals and have received many supplies, and are now in need of storage containers to store all the food and supplies.

What else can you do to give back if monetary donations and volunteering aren’t feasible for you? Check out some of these options below.
Donate Blood
Whether blood donations are needed locally or not, this is always a great thing to do when you want to give. There is a critical need for blood donors in general, and an emergency need for Type O blood. Make an appointment at the American Red Cross or another reputable organization, like the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center.
Shop with Businesses Donating Profits to Texas Flood Victims
An easy way to give back is to patronize businesses that are donating their profits to relief efforts. This can be an economical way to contribute, especially if you were already going to be purchasing these items and services.
July 10th:: P.Terry’s Burger Stand. According to their Instagram post, P. Terry’s will be donating 100% of profits from all 36 locations on Thursday, July 10th to support Texas flood victims.
July 14th:: Plucker’s Wing Bar. According to their Instagram Post, Pluckers will donate 20% of sales on Monday, July 14th to Texas Search & Rescue.
Tieks. Tieks is offering incentives for their customers to donate to disaster relief by offering a $50 gift card to the Tieks Boutiek for each $25 donation to a nonprofit organization of your choice. Take a photo or screenshot of your donation receipt clearly showing the organization name and amount donated, then submit your donation to receive your gift card.
Grady Ln Texas Relief Fund Hats. All proceeds from these Texas-themed hats will be donated to The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
Sendero Provisions Co. 100% of profits from their “Together for Texas” collection will go straight to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
Sprinkled With Pink “Texas Strong”. 100% of the net proceeds from both the “Texas Strong” t-shirt and sweatshirt designs will be donated directly to families affected by the tragedy.
Kendra Scott Everlyne Bracelet. 100% of proceeds from all Everlyne bracelets will go to the most immediate needs for flood victims. **Note: the bracelet may be sold out online. Check back for restocks or visit a store to purchase.
James Avery “Heart of Texas” Charm. Through Aug. 4, 100% of the proceeds from the “Deep in the Heart of Texas” Charm will go to help those impacted by the floods. I personally have this charm, and it’s beautiful! **Please note: you may experience delays to your order due to high volume.
